Wagerwebcom Posts Odds for American Idols Final Four

San Jose, Costa Rica ? May 9, 2006 ? WagerWeb.com, one of the Internet's largest betting sites with odds surrounding the hottest issues in the news, posted odds today allowing bettors to predict the winner from the four remaining contestants on the top rated television show, American Idol. Wagerweb.com CEO Dave Johnson predicts more bets for the Idol winner than the more than 10,000 they took in for the 2004 Presidential election.

Wagerweb.com gained nationwide attention last week when it offered odds on the Duke DNA test outcome, as well as odds about hurricanes and tropical storms hitting the U.S. during the 2006 ? 2007 season.

"Our oddsmakers agree for the most part with Simon Cowell," says Johnson. "Chris Daughtry and Taylor Hicks are the odds on favorites to win the competition," Johnson adds.

Johnson expects Taylor Hicks will ultimately be the top choice this week.

"With 'Elvis' as this week's theme," Johnson says, "Bettors recognize Taylor's 'Elvis' like dancing makes him the perfect pick." The odds for the "Final Four" American Idol contestants are as follows:

Chris Daughtry -140 (Bet $140 to win $100)
Taylor Hicks +100 (Bet $100 to win $100)
Katharine McPhee +140 (Bet $100 to win $140)
Elliot Yamin +160 (Bet $100 to win $160).
